It's Packer playoff weekend, and that tops the agenda in the northwoods.

Check today's front page for a rundown of specials from our supporters. A look at other events, taken from the Antigo Daily Journal's advertising columns, follows:

ARCHERY

Antigo Bow Club will host a free five-week archery course for second through sixth graders beginning Monday.

Sign-up will be held tonight between 4 and 5:30 p.m. at the indoor range, 1112 Mendlik Ave. If you can't make it, call 715 627-4543 after 6 p.m.

Class times include Mondays, 4 and 5 p.m.; Tuesdays, 4 p.m.; and Fridays, 4, 5 and 6:30 p.m.

DINING

The Antigo Elks Lodge will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner on Monday, 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy spaghetti with meat sauce and Sartori cheese, salad, hot garlic bread and ice cream, coffee and milk.

It's rib night at Vickie and the Vets, with serving from 4:30 to 8 p.m. They go early so call ahead at 715 623-5810 to guarantee yours.

HISTORY, THE ARTS

The Langlade County Historical Society Museum is open Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The complex includes the Carnegie library building, Deleglise Cabin and 440 locomotive and caboose. It is located at 404 Superior St. The society is in the midst of a major fundraising campaign to install an elevator and make other necessary and aesthetic improvements. Stop by the museum to pick up a brochure.

The White Lake Area Historical Society operates the Depot Museum and Historical Center in White Lake. Hours are Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Antigo Visual Artists is holding its Vavruska Encore, an exhibit and sale of the final paintings and etchings in its Frank Vavruska collection, now in the gallery at the Langlade County Historical Society Museum. Stop by during regular museum hours, Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MOVIES

Now showing at the Palace Twin Theater are “Dolittle,” rated PG-13, and “Ford V Ferrari,” rated PG-13.

OTHER EVENTS

Get ready for Antigo High School's Winter Ball, slated Saturday, Jan. 25 from 7:15 to 11 p.m. at the Middle School. Grand march will be at 7:15 p.m. with spectator admission by donation. Proceeds will be earmarked for the St. Jude Cancer center. The ball is sponsored by the sophomore class and student council.
