space
The Antigo 10U Stallions traveling baseball team had a bit of a rough go of it this past weekend, winning one of four games played at the Northwoods Baseball Classic in Three Lakes.

The Stallions opened play against Wittenberg-Birnamwood and fell by a score of 10-3. The contest started off well, with starting pitcher David Voytovich giving up a pair of runs through two innings, before the wheels fell off and Wittenberg-Birnamwood pulled away for the win.

Antigo’s second contest was an exciting 8-7 win over Norway, Mich. A total of seven Stallions’ players recorded hits and 10 of 11 reached base.

Declan Adams had the game tying RBI single in the final frame and scored the winning run on Tucker McCann’s single.

Voytovich, Diego Flores-Martinez, and Jacob Waldner formed the Antigo pitching staff in the win.

Game three for the 10U squad was a tough 15-2 loss to D.C. Everest. Keagan Buettner led Antigo with a two-for-two game, including a triple. Voytovich doubled, while Ethan Rantala and Jacob Waldner both singled.

The Stallions finished the weekend with a 15-3 loss to Verona. Antigo allowed nine first inning runs which proved to be too much to overcome. Voytovich, Caleb Vandenlangenberg, and Flores-Martinez all had hits in the loss.

The 10U team is off until the Stallions host their annual home tournament July 20-22.
