Middle School bowlers have season's best

It was the Middle School boys bowling teams time to shine on the lanes as they defeated D.C. Everest 7-2 this past Sunday at Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander. This was their best day of bowling thus far this season.

Ean Perry led the squad with 10 strikes, four spares and four opens for a 77.8 percent fill rate. Jack Steger followed tight behind with eight strikes, five spares and five opens for 72.2 percent.

On the varsity and junior varsity side, all three teams finished by winning their matches. The varsity girls won 5-4 over Wittenberg-Birnamwood boys, the boys varsity won 7-2 against Edgar/Athens and the junior varsity boys defeated Merrill girls varsity 8-1.

Antigo’s final two conference competitions will take place on Saturday at the Rosebowl in Marshfield and on Feb. 18 at Dale’s Weston Lanes. Teams will be bowling two seven baker matches on each day with the total pin count from both days determining which teams advance to the state tournament.
