10U All Stars’ season ends with 5-3 loss
 The season came to a disappointing end for the Antigo 10-year-old Little League All Star team Wednesday.
Needing a win to continue its run in the District 5 tournament, Antigo fell to Wausau National 5-3 at Rhinelander’s Hodag Park.
Wausau struck early, scoring four times off Antigo’s Malik Brisby in the second before the starter settled in to pitch a scoreless third inning.
Taking over the mound in relief, Jake Peterson gave up just one run in the top of the fifth inning.
Trailing 5-0 in the bottom of the frame, Antigo’s Trevin Walbeck delivered an RBI single to centerfield, scoring Connor Kolz. Antigo then plated two runs in the bottom of the sixth, coming on bases loaded walks to Casey Smith and Marvin Duchac.
Switching pitchers, Wausau struck out Walbeck with bases loaded to end the game.
Austin Schedlbauer led Antigo at the plate with two hits.
Wausau National advances to a semifinal matchup later today in Rhinelander.
