Phillips strikers top Lady Robins 3-1 Monday
space
The Lady Robins took on the Phillips Loggers on the road Monday night in a girls soccer match up, playing under challenging field conditions. With the pitch status less than desirable, it was extremely muddy from standing water.

The Lady Robins had a hard time finding their footing and getting a good head in the game. The size of the field also caused confusion for Antigo and they were unable to spread out positionally.

Antigo was able to hold off the Loggers for the majority of the first half, with Phillips' first goal scored with 10 minutes left in the first half.

Markea Wyro was in goal and had nine saves. Antigo's defensive line was able to pull the Loggers offsides multiple times and did a great job of moving the ball up the field.

Ten minutes into the second half, the Loggers were able to make their second goal.

Mikayla Nelson had a beautiful goal in the second half making the score 2-1 with 20 minutes left in the game.

The Robins had plenty of opportunities to shoot on goal—they simply could not connect with the back of the net. Despite finally coming together as a team they were unable to come away with the win. The Loggers took the win 3-1.

The girls take on Rhinelander tonight in Rhinelander at 5 p.m.
