space
Langlade Hospital has been honored for its leadership in delivering higher quality care at a lower cost.

The facility, an Aspirus partner, was recently named by iVantage Health Analytics as 2014 HEALTHSTRONG™Hospitals.

"We are very proud of the recognition Langlade Hospital is receiving,” Administrator Dave Schneider said. “It not only signals the success we have had but it puts us in a very elite group of health care providers in the United States. We have been working very hard to excel at the quality of care our patients receive, making the patient experience the best it can be, and maintaining state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and facilities. This award validates the hard work we have been doing. I am delighted to celebrate this award with our providers, employees, volunteers and community."

The list highlights top performing hospitals rated as part of iVantage’s Hospital Strength Index, considered the industry’s most comprehensive rating system. Hospitals are measured across 66 different performance metrics, including quality, outcomes, patient perspective, affordability and efficiency.

“iVantage seeks to help hospitals meet the demands of the new health care by providing a new level of transparency into the internal and external metrics which drive more informed decision making,” John R. Morrow, executive vice president of iVantage Health Analytics, said. “The analysis reveals that geographic variation, population health and superior performance are interrelated, and that they can result in lower cost, better outcomes and healthier communities nationwide.”

Other Aspirus hospitals being recognized as top performers are Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Memorial Health Center in Medford and Aspirus Grandview Hospital located in Ironwood, Mich.
