Journal to welcome pictures every two weeks, chill the topic for Feb. 7|
We are living in a photographic age, and why not have some fun with it.
Noting this, the Antigo Daily Journal has decided to do just that with an on-line or mail-in opportunity to have you favorite pictures published in the newspaper every other Tuesday.
The fun will start on Feb. 4.
We ask that all entries be submitted to the newspaper office by 9 a.m. Monday morning, Feb. 3, either by mail or at the general Internet site, firstname.lastname@example.org. Please identify it as a “Pictures” in the subject line.
We will eye those entries and print as many as possible, and of course we may not be able to share all of them. Please understand.
While it is always not possible to do them in color, every now and then that might occur.
Each Tuesday after they are published, we will draw from all the names of those who entered and that individual will receive a one-month subscription to the Antigo Daily Journal for themselves, or anyone they select.
We live in an area with stunning beauty. There is wildlife, a number of rivers are open despite the chill and perhaps our greatest asset is our people. They make wonderful photographs.
For Feb. 4 our subject of the pictures will be of harsh, snowy winter like this year and the bone-chilling cold.
We welcome historic shots, too.
The pictures should be sent on the Web at a highest resolution possible in a JPEG format and the photographs mailed, to:
