City council has a quiet agenda for Wednesday|
The Antigo Common Council has a quiet meeting set for Wednesday night to handle routine matters for the month of September.
The session will begin at 6 p.m. in the chambers at City Hall.
A number of funding proposals will be considered. One of the plans would allow addition of the wiring necessary for a freezer and an outdoor cooler at the west unit of City Park, which can be used for a number of events including Music in the Park.
The cost to the city is $1,655.
The aldermen will also consider information on structure problems raised about the park bandstand, which is heavily used during the summer months. An engineering firm will be hired for $868.40 to make a determination on the safety of the structure.
Another piece of business from the Park, Cemetery and Recreation Committee will address a $30,000 anonymous donation to the dog park on the north side of the city, and the need for a parking lot now that the facility has been fenced.
That work will cost $1,655.
The council will also consider the project from the Antigo Dugout Club to install a new scoreboard at Kretz Park. Responsibilities for the project are outlined in the resolution.
Another ordinance will eye rules for the cityís campground on Hudson Street and the rules and regulations impacting the visitors.
Another will likely set the cityís codes for charges and fees for snow removal and mowing of properties that are not cared for by owners. If approved, administrative fees of $75 would be added to the labor charges for both mowing and shoveling.
Aldermen will also consider waiving insurance requirements for Antigo First to hold its Old-Time Market Street Fest on Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event falls in the Homecoming weekend for the high school football team, which brings a number of visitors to town.
Also coming to the floor with approval likely is a proposal to waive fees for the Hudson Street shelter for the CROP Walk fundraiser on Sept. 29.
The council will consider an operatorís license for Kelly J. Draeger and a license to sell cigarettes for Jay Jalaramic for South BP at 335 Superior St.
