Antigo Tater Trot a success
space
With the 2013 Antigo Tater Trot in the books, event co-ordinaters felt this year’s 10K, four mile run and one mile walk was a huge success.

“This morning went really well,” Melissa Wilhelm, one of the events facilitators said. “We saw an influx of people from out of town along with a lot of first time participants coming out this year.”

Over 350 total participants, more than in the preceeding year, took advantage of cool morning temperatures and a few new features in addition to a chance to eat a yummy Antigo potatoe.

“I am really excited for the potatoe cut-outs we have this year for people to stick their faces in. Its been a great way for us to get our sponsors names out there,” Wilhelm said. “We are fortunate to have teamed up with Drager Laser and Chiropractic along with Cornerstone Wellness and Chiropractic Center in providing runners with a massage.”

Pacing all 10K runners was Mitch Easker completing the course just shy of 34 minutes followed by Cody Artymiuk one minute behind him. Among the female runners, Stephanie Tainter crossed at just over the 40 minute mark with Michaela Waidelich two minutes later. All are from Antigo.
