Antigo All-Stars head home after state tournament
space
It was a disappointing outcome for the 11-12 year old Little League All-Star team as the Antigo squad dropped its fifth and final game, 8-0 of the District 5 state tournament Wednesday in Waupun.

Battling Appleton Lions, Antigo’s frustration emerged early as starting pitcher C.J. Levis was ejected in the first inning for arguing a strike call while batting.

Logan Doering stepped in giving up three second inning runs before Nick Marshall and Noah Orgeman concluded the game.

Appleton’s Carson Cook pitched a complete game giving up four hits in the shutout.

Noah Orgeman, Nevin Cornelius, Garett Held and Korbin Krueger provided the hits for Antigo with Krueger posting a double.

Appleton will complete a lightening delayed make-up game versus Reedsburg with the visitor taking on Burlington in the championship game later today. The winner will advance to the Great Lakes Regional in Indianapolis, Ind.
