Cardinals rough up White Lake boys, 10-2|
The shortened 2013 season was either going to be good for a team or bad. Without a lot of time to perfect the game, or even make adjustments between games, White Lake’s coach Matt Meronk is slowly working his way through the squad’s schedule.
Errors have been one item that has plagued the Laker lineup, something that played a part, six in total, in its 10-2 road loss Tuesday to Crandon.
Despite the Cardinals scattering runs in all but the fourth inning, White Lake produced six hits in the seven inning contest but was only able to plate two runs.
Joe Kubacki led the Laker bats with three hits (double), others with extra base hits were Kris Gallagher (double) and Luke Wickersheim (double).
Dillion Gollihue was tagged with the loss on the mound for White Lake. He pitched the entire game, giving up eight hits, four walks while delivering five strike outs.
White Lake will head to Florence Friday before hosting Wausaukee Saturday at 10 a.m. in a double header.
