Guard Thanksgiving Nov. 27, 2009 The Antigo National Guard unit, Company C of the 32nd Brigade’s Special Troops Battalion, spent Thanksgiving in Iraq with other members of the brigade, which is currently in the midst of a Persian Gulf deployment. In the photo above, provided by the Guard, Lt. Col. Hillis Tinglum serves up a Thanksgiving plate to an active duty soldier at a military dining facility in Baghdad. The dining facility at Forward Operating Base Prosperity served 2,500 pounds of turkey, 450 pounds of ham, plus mounds and mounds of sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans and 500 pumpkin pies to soldiers.
