Dirty Dozen bowlers post honor roll counts

The pins continued to fall easily at North Star Lanes Thursday as the men from the Dirty Dozen league racked up the high marks.

Five bowlers already accustomed to earning honor roll accolades hurdled 700 once again — Dave Steger Jr. at 740, Brian Mattmiller at 730, Greg Pizl at 727, Pat Gregurich at 717 and Jeff Wright at 715.

Posting games of 257, 232 and 251, Steger Jr. finished with the night’s best series but Mattmiller took high game honors with a 279. He also rolled a 207 and a 244 to earn his 730 triple.

Pizl produced marks of 257, 267 and 203 to earn his score while Gregurich chalked a 247, 257 and a 213. Wright rounded out the pack with games of 230, 237 and 248.

600 Pack

Nate Jorgensen stepped to the top of the 600 series bowlers with his solid 693 triple. The mark featured a high 247 game.

Joe Guithues posted a 266 in his three game 691 while Ron Wolf tallied a 684 with help of a 258 single.

Other high rollers were Steve Burkhart, 679 with 267; Jeff Klante, 670 with 268; Chris Orgeman, 658 with 230; Dave Steger Sr., 648 with 255; and Mike Kaster, 640 with 236.

Also making the 600 list were Jack Filbrandt, 636 with 221; Dick Kemmer, 633 with 226; Chris Berg, 625 with 226; and Justin Berg, 613 with 225.

Rounding out the list were Kirk Elliott, 612 with 219; Chip Dallen, 609 with 222; and Cameron Berg, 604 with 209.

Several others posted at least one game 215 or better. Included were Bryan Cigel, 237; Dennis Seis, 231; Mike Bovet, 227; John Van Ooyen, 221; and Brian Blink, 219.

Thursday Ladies

Janet Heckert claimed high series honors by bowling a 512 triple in the Thursday Afternoon Ladies league. Games were 165, 180 and 167.

Donna Wolf was next in line at 503. The mark featured an all spare 185 game along with a 144 and a 174.

Rounding out the top were Sandy Scott, 491 with 152, 166 and 173; and Cynthia Schroeder, 483 with 155, 162 and 166.
