Dave Steger Jr., three others bowl 700 series marks Nov. 18, 2009 Dave Steger Jr. led a cast of four who topped 700 at completion of Tuesday’s Elks & Friends bowling league run.
Steve Suick, Brian Mattmiller and Phil Hartman also hurdled the mark to bring the men’s honor roll total to over five dozen for the 2009-10 season.
Totaling marks of 257, 258 and 254, Steger chalked a solid 769 series to pace the action.
Suick was next in line at 750 (203, 269 and 278) followed by Mattmiller at 705 (222, 246, 237.) Hartman rounded out the pack at 703. Games were 224, 243 and 236.
One pin separated Wayne Dieck from Joe Guithues in the race for the top 600 mark. Highlighting the score with a 242 game, Dieck finished with a 696 series. Guithues posted a 695 with help of a 247 single.
Gene Dieck sparked a 678 triple with a 244 game while Jim Hohensee fired a 666 thanks in part to a 236.
Dick Kemmer was next in line at 665. His best game was a 253.
Other frontrunners were Jeff Klante, 646 including a high 253 game; Nate Jorgensen, 639 with 225; Joe Servi, 639 with 226; Mitch Ciezki, 638 with 243; and Todd Hendrickson, 633 with 217.
Tom Kubeny and Dennis Dziamarski tied at 631. High games were 230 and 257, respectively.
Others making the 600 series list were Dave Steger Sr., 629 with 236; Steve Hayes, 625 with 233; Rod Schedlbauer, 622 with 240; and Chris Berg, 621 with 227.
Rounding out the list were John Stocks, 617 with 225; Chip Dallen, 614 with 225; Josh Robrecht, 612 with 251; Ron Wolf, 608 with 226; and Eric Gilbert, 604 with 206.
Trevor McCarthy bowled a 229 game, Jermey Wolfe fired a 226 and Norm Wild scored a 225.
