Nate Jorgensen rolls 297 game, hits big 753 series Nov. 13, 2009 Nate Jorgensen stole the show at North Star Lanes Thursday.
His top game, a 297, was three pins short of perfection and his series, a 753, was the night’s best. The 753 also featured games of 199 and 257.
A personal high for the 2009-10 season, the triple was Jorgensen’s sixth 700-plus honor count this year.
Pat Gregurich and Dave Steger Jr. also crossed into 700 series territory.
Gregurich scored a 719 by totaling games of 263, 224 and 232 while Steger Jr. hit 711 by combining marks of 214, 268 and 229.
Twenty men hurdled 600 and Aaron Hose was the man that paced the pack. He scored a 695 series with help of a high 245 game.
Dave Kluwe posted a 248 in his three-game 686 series while Lyle Tackett notched a 682 thanks in part to a 279 single.
Other frontrunners were Jim Hohensee, 678 with 237; Chris Orgeman, 675 with 237; and Greg Pizl, 674 with 232.
Dick Kemmer and Bill Page tied at 670. Top games were 234 and 257, respectively.
Steve Suick was next in line at 669. It featured a 259 game. Behind him were Brady Gregurich, 665 with 248; Jeff Wright, 662 with 246; and Bill McFarlane, 661 with 235.
Others making the list were Justin Berg, 659 with 258; Dave Steger Sr., 657 with 242; Tom Kubeny, 653 with 259; Brian Mattmiller, 647 with 234; Mike Kaster, 645 with 231; and Joe Guithues, 624 with 245.
Cameron Berg and Dave Hasse tied at 621. Top games were 225 and 256, respectively.
