Four bowlers produce honor roll scores Nov. 12, 2009 It was a big night for bowling at North Star Lanes Wednesday as the women from the Northland Ladies league crew added to the honor roll collection.
Three veteran 600-plus posters, Nancy Raith, Sarah Raith and Denise Schmidt, along with honor board newcomer Kathy Wendt, all posted high marks.
Nancy Raith paced the crowd with her stellar 640. The mark featured games of 234, 195 and 211.
Schmidt was second in line at 621. Her best game, a 223, was preceded by a 204 and a 194.
Sarah Raith totaled games of 218, 166 and 228 to earn her 612 triple.
Wendt notched a 603 with her best game, a 244, serving as the night’s top single. She also fired a 172 and a 187.
Rose Summ led the 500 series crowd with her 596. Games were 189, 234 and 173.
Nancy Elliott tallied a 566 (160, 204, 202) while Donna Wolf posted a 531 (182, 160, 189).
Other high scorers were Shirlee Welch, 531 with 163, 181 and 187; Rose Ward, 524 with 203, 177 and 144; Jennie Volkman, 518 with 157, 174 and 187; Janet Heckert, 506 with 130, 186 and 190; and Paula Van Ooyen, 505 with 148, 176 and 181.
