Doug Kunst bowls 719 at Birnamwood Oct. 5, 2009 Doug Kunst bowled his way to the top of the standings at Chet & Emil’s in Birnamwood last week.
Chalking double games of 248 and a 223, the Wednesday Business league kegler rolled a 719 honor series count.
Tom Groh also put on a show, taking high game honors with a sizzling 288. He finished with a 644 series.
Seven others also finished in 600 series range, among them Mark Woyak who notched a 686. The mark featured a 236 along with a pair of 225s.
Wally Lenzner was next in line at 649. Games were 222, 215 and 212.
Others crossing 600, including any games 200 or better, were Corey Krull, 636 with 236 and 221; Rhett Matz, 634 with 231; Mark Kropf, 631 with 254 and 217; Lane King, 616 with 244; and Tim Jacobson, 612 with 208 and double 202s.
Others posting 200 games were Jerry Grosskopf, 243; Andy Resch, 241; Doug Koeller, 228; Gary Bernarde, 224; Reid Praslowicz, 223; Leon Chroge, 222; Dave Schmidt, 221 and 204; Rhett Matz, 218; John Rew, 205; Jeff Ostrowski, Perry Meverden and Justin Zastrow, 201; and Dennis Knaak, 200.
The lanes were also host to the Tuesday Commercial league.
Jeremy Praslowicz took the top spot with his 690 series. Games were 246, 231 and 213.
Chad Swanson and Corey Krull tied at 680. Swanson earned his mark by totaling games of 279, 203 and 198 while Krull rolled a 243, 224 and 213.
Robbie Resch highlighted his 645 series with a 255 game while Doug Kunst notched a 630 with help of a 235 and 216.
Others posting 200-plus games were Rhett Matz, 235; John Kasten, 232; Bob Ecker, 223; Dick Schoepke, 220; Brian Rew, 214; Mike White, 211; Dave Norrbom, 209; and Ted Day, 207.
