14U softball team tops Everest, 9-8 June 26, 2009 Antigo 14 U Babe Ruth softball team traveled to DC Everest last Thursday for the comeback 9-8 win.
Antigo started the game by scoring two runs in the first inning, highlighted with singles by Zoe Kapusta and Kendall Nagel.
The 14U team would go on to watch DC Everest score six in the bottom of the second, falling behind 6-2.
With a rally in top of the sixth, Antigo went on to score seven runs, led by Kaitland Rhode with a two run single to give Antigo the lead.
Alyssa Schilcher would collect a single in top of the seventh for Antigo.
Taking the mound for Antigo were Katie Falk and Alyssa Schilcher, the pair would allow only four hits, walked 12 and registered five strike outs.
