Aaron Hose bowls 723 honor series

Aaron Hose set the stage for another fine night of bowling Thursday as the kegler rolled a big 723 series at North Star Lanes.

The mark, earned with games of 255, a solid 290 and a 178, was one of four honor series posted on the night.

Dave Steger Sr. claimed runner up standing with his 715 triple. Beginning the evening with a 223, he jumped to a 267 before completing the effort with a 225.

Bill Page scored high with his 711 series. His best game, a 245, followed a 225 and a 241.

Kai Hyland added his name to the honor board with his 705 series. Also continuing to get better as the night wore on, he racked up games of 194, 237 and 274.

Another 21 bowlers finished in 600 series range.

Pat Gregurich led the way at 697 (246, 193, 258) followed by Bryan Cigel at 696 (202, 236 and 258) and Brian Mattmiller, 690 (259, 243, 188.)

Dick Kemmer highlighted his 686 series with a 279 single while Chip Dallen posted a 226 in his three game 686 run.

Dave Steger Jr. beat out Jack Filbrandt by one pin, 654 to 653. Steger’s bbest game was a 232 while Filbrandt had a 234.

Lyle Tackett was next in line at 642 with his best game being a 225. Ryan Messer and Bob Theroux tied at 639. High games were 257 and 227 respectively.

Others making the list were Tim Gregurich, 638 with 224; Bill McFarlane, 635 with 227; Jason Smith, 619 with 236; Chris Orgeman, 615 with 232; Dennis Seis, 615 with 226; Larry Welch, 614 with 239; Brandon Berg, 613 with 225; Craig Blanchard, 609 with 222; Greg Pizl, 607 with 227; Jeff Klante, 605 with 232; and Curt Hale, 600 with 236.

Another five bowlers posted at least one game 215 or better.

Included were Jim Hohensee, 256; Marty Vick, 230; Nate Jorgensen, 223; John Stift, 220; and Gary Hegranes, 216.
